Originally planted to Shiraz in the 1970s, Summerfield vineyard borders Taltarni. The earliest harvests were actually sold to them, along with the illustrious houses of Great Western and Chateau Remy, now known as Seppelt and Blue Pyrenees. This is the style of Shiraz which placed Victoria's Pyrenees on the world wine map. The palate fills with winegum tannins, dark brooding fruits, plums, berries and spice, finishing with incredible length. No other appellation makes such majestic Shiraz, this is what Summerfield's old vines are all about, it only gets better from here.

From fruit grown to the original farmstead which was broken up to give birth to Taltarni. When the national wine press discovered the quality of wine from this boutique Pyrenees estate, the secret was out, the phones rang hot and the Summerfield cellars were emptied in two days. Summerfield's editions are all hand made in small batches to ensure consistency and quality within each bottle. The western districts make the most flavourful, balanced and clean Sauvignon Blanc, to be found anywhere in Victoria. The arduous climes infuse grapes with succulent sugar esters, pristine, phenolic free, brimming with crystaline fruit characters. Summerfield aim at a wonderfully animate style of Sauvignon Blanc, distinctively Pyrenees, defined by its coquettish structure and long, succulent mouthfeel. Predominantly from the Seppelt property in the Grampians, a third of the fruit is picked off good vineyards at Bendigo, a further component is sourced from splendid Heathcote sites. An assemblage of Shiraz grown to somewhat different terroirs across the finer viticultural precincts of Victoria, the cooler climes of Grampians contributing a richness of fruit to balance the earthy tannins of warmer aspects to the north. Since 1851, The House of Seppelt has built a reputation for exceptional western districts Sparkling Shiraz. Silverband is composed of various select tirage wine components with an average vintage age of six years. These parcels were initially trial lots, carefully selected by the winemakers for their ability to age gracefully and develop intense varietal and regional characters. This regional Shiraz is sourced from unique viticultural meso-climates that were formed from the gradual weathering of the Grampians over millions of years. These quality vineyards were identified by the winemakers on the basis of good Shiraz fruit, the fermented juice was aged in separate batches. From these batches wines that expressed high quality, regional fruit characters were selected to create a Shiraz that displays purity of fruit, elegance and great aging capacity, classic characteristics of the Grampians region.

The flagship sparkling from the House of Seppelt, Salinger is made to authentic Methode traditionelle. One of Australia's premier sparklers, an elegant and refined effervescent wine, with the inclusion of aged reserves for added complexity. Importantly, Salinger is assembled from the very best Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meuniere available to Seppelt. Seppelt have had more experience with this uniquely Australian style of wine than anyone else in the world. Although there are no precise records, it appears that Seppelt wre experimenting with sparkling red wines as far back as the 1890s. Seppelt Original is constructed to true Method Traditionelle. An assemblage of intensely flavoured Shiraz wines, barrel matured and aged on yeast lees, creating a complex Cuvee with great depth of flavour and length of fruit, long dusty oak, mouthfilling berry plum flavours and a resplendent, lively effervescence.

Originally crafted by the legendary Colin Preece and labelled as Burgundy, Chalambar has become one of the most highly sought Seppelt releases each year, due to its consistency, quality and value. The House of Seppelt are custodians to one of Australia's most auspicious cellars, constructed by miners who took up viticulture when the Victorian gold ruch was in decline. Their efforts have left a legacy which provides the ultimate environment for ageing stocks of Seppelt Chalambar, a fully engaging Shiraz of layered fruit and disciplined tannins.

The legacy of early Victorian vineyards is maintained through a curious canon of place names on Seppelt labels, Chalambar is a tribute to unemployed miners who turned to viticulture as the gold rush came to an end. Deriving its name from the picturesque mount near Great Western, Chalambar is a true regional icon that's been playing to packed houses since 1951. An immediately approachable Shiraz with the enigmatic capacity to age gracefully, flavours of spicy dark berry fruits and chocolate are supported by fine tannins and gentle cedary oak.

Hamish Seabrook comes from a long line of wine merchants, most notably W.J Seabrook & Son. He has made the most of his family's contacts in the industry to isolate and secure parcels of the finest Pyrenees Shiraz, all grown to great vineyards, closely husbanded by the most devoted local vignerons. Crafted to an old fashioned claret style, driven by a hansom carriage of refined, ebony oak tannins, brimming with the moreish decadence of spiced cherry ripeness and chocolate plum richness.

Named after winemaker Neill Robb's wife, Sally's Paddock is handcrafted from a single unirrigated vineyard, entirely estate grown, vinified and bottled, universally regarded as one of Australia's first growths. The unique combination of soil, cool to mild climatic and traditionally managed vines produce low yield grapes of high intensity, colour and flavour, achieving the most compelling wines in the classic Pyrenees style. Langtons listed ever since the catalogue's inception, Sally's Paddock is a long lived and enduring national icon wine.

Hand picked Shiraz from the vineyards surrounding Hundred Tree Homestead on Sally's Hill, including parcels from the famous Sally's Paddock. An exceptional Shiraz wine reflecting the wonderfully idiosyncratic flavours of Sally's Hill fruit and unique style of Redbank. Made in small batches, wild yeast fermented, hand punched and basket pressed, Sally's Hill truly expresses the potential of a pure varietal wine from fruit grown to unirrigated vines planted in 1973. Excellent Langtons Classification. A long and extended growing season means that the Mount Langhi property is one of the last blocks to be harvested in Victoria. Also of significance is that only the best berries are carefully picked off the precious old vines. The famous Langhi Ghiran is fermented in traditional open, shallow, concrete tanks, before ageing in a selection of the finest oak barrels. It is the strong synergy between a unique microclime, fastidious viticulture and proficiency at winemaking that can achieve the paragon which is Langi Ghiran.

Crafted from fruit grown to the renowned Old Block on the Mount Langi Ghiran property, established by the Fratin family in 1963, the vines are nearing a half century of age.
